I’m trying to access Google Maps and I keep getting the following error:
”We are sorry, but you do not have access to Google Maps. Please contact your organization’s administrator to enable Google Maps.”

Solution

There are two three ways to work around this error:

...

  • Switch to a personal non-WWU Google account for Google Maps: Click on your profile in the upper right corner and switch to your personal Google account. If you do not see your personal Google account, click the option to Add another account. This option works best if you want to save locations and personalized settings.

  • Sign out of your Google account by clicking on your profile in the upper right corner of Google Maps (or open Google Maps in a new browser tab).

  • Open Google Maps in an Incognito/InPrivate browser tab: This solution will work, but you won’t be signed in so some personalized features may not be available.

Google Maps was never part of our G-Suite environment, but recently people have been getting this error when they attempt to access Google Maps while signed into a browser with their WWU G-Suite account. Google Maps is not covered by our G-Suite terms of service.
