Active Directory (AD)

Create a New Object in Active Directory

The ability to Create AD Objects is restricted to Tier 2 Techs, if you need to have an object created you should request one of them create the object for you.

  1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers using your -a account:

  2. Navigate to the Correct OU:

  3. Create the Computer Object:

    • Right-click on the correct OU and select New > Computer.

  4. Fill in the Computer Name using the appropriate naming convention:
    /wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/2259943425

    • Click OK.

  5. Fill in the Description using the following convention:
    (Room Number) – (User) – (Computer Type)
