Highlights

  1. Banner and Millennium FAST will both receive upgrades this month.

  2. Several changes have been made to the wireless network infrastructure to improve connectivity for managed Windows devices.

  3. Attribute updates in Active Directory will be made in October, in order to free up custom attributes for future use.

  4. Also in late October, the production VPN (remotevpn.wwu.edu) will move to SAMLv2 authentication, which will allow us to enforce MFA on VPN connections for MFA-enabled users.

  5. Bond Hall, Parks Hall, and Ross Engineering Technology will receive extensive network upgrades in DecemberEIS will be doing its typical intersession upgrades to network infrastructure in December, including firewall, ISE, and wireless controller updates.

  6. Network refreshes in BH, ET, and PH will happen over Winter Break, pending final confirmation of the dates by the PMO.

  7. MFA has been enabled on the VPN, and so far it has been working well for users.
