Highlights

1. Unless logging reveals a reason not to, we will be updating the crypto settings on the domain controllers tomorrow (3/28/23).

2. On 3/29, we will begin enforcing a naming convention on Microsoft Bookings calendars, prepending “bookings” to the beginning of every Bookings calendar name upon creation. This will help reduce the occurrence of users mistaking Bookings calendars for department mailboxes in the GAL.Domain Controllers are being configured today to only accept TLS1.2 or higher connections. Logging reveals that as of last night, we no longer have any clients attempting to connect at lower protocols.

3. A naming convention is now in place for all future Bookings calendars, prepending “bookings_” to the beginning of the calendar addresses.

4. Updates to the password requirements for service accounts, vendor accounts, and other non-standard accounts is tentatively are scheduled for 4/11. ATUS will contact the WWU owners of those accounts in advance with details.EAS has circled April 21-22 for a production Banner upgrade. This work will be preceded by PPRD updates March 27-29 and user acceptance testing 4/3 - 4/205/1. The sponsors/contacts for all impacted accounts have been contacted and given a 4/19 deadline to respond and a 5/1 deadline to update the passwords of the accounts they manage.

5. Banner production upgrade, with a downtime for all services, will begin 4/21.
