Highlights

1. The network upgrade is complete in the Steam Plant, and upgrades in Canada House are in progress.

2. Security improvements to the sign-in process for Windows 10 computers have been cancelled due to the complexity and difficulty of rolling the change back for any machines that are not compatible.

3. The test MS SQL Server has been fully upgraded, and planning has begun to schedule the upgrade of the production server.

4. On May 21st, the Biology Greenhouse building network will be offline for upgradeand Biology Greenhouse network upgrades are complete.

5. The next major network installations will occur in mid-June, in Ridgeway Complex and Kaiser-Borsari.

6. EIS and Infosec are testing a new MFA configuration, which will be applied to all individuals who are subject to Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) certification and compliance. This includes several folks in Public Safety, Facilities, and IT. Impacted individuals will be communicated with prior to any change in MFA settings.

7. The network team has started planning for datacenter switch software upgrades and new 100Gbs connections between the BH and AC datacenters for will implement routing changes to reduce latency on the cluster-to-cluster replication network, after 9pm on Thursday, May 30th. No user impact is anticipated.
