Highlights

1. Pending further review from outside consultants, EIS will configure Residence Hall internet traffic to prefer a different internet connection from academic/administrative networks starting at 5am this Thursday, 2/15. This will reduce the load on our primary internet connection by 25%-50% during peak hours, which should improve connectivity for important services like the Testing Center and the Student Health Center.

2. Shannon Point will receive a network upgrade at the end of February, including a change in internet service provider.

3. Deployment of an additional wireless network authentication server has been delayed pending completion of the Residence Hall routing changes above.

4. ITS is working with University Communications and Print and Copy Services to investigate publishing the important dates on the university’s paper calendar via Outlook.

5. Further work on disabling custom scripts in the university’s SharePoint environment has been postponed, pending completion of higher-priority work.CJIS and Risked Based MFA Are Rolling Out
