Highlights

1. Banner will be down for critical financial aid updates from 7AM to 11AM on Thursday, 4/25.

2. Rollout continues for disabling TLS 1.1 and earlier on Windows PCs.

3. Patching of the HCI Cluster (non-user facing updates) are in progress.

4. InfoSec and EIS are working on updated MFA rules for users with CJIS clearance.

5. VPN Appliance replacement is in the process of being rescheduled pending a configuration review.

6. An upgrade of the campus DNS and DHCP server operating systems and software is scheduled for 4/23On Monday 5/6 5am-7am, there will be intermittent unavailability of wireless and VPN logons as the servers are rebooted for configuration changes.

7. Shannon Point will also briefly lose internet connectivity during that time as the remote firewall is patched.

8. Starting Tuesday 5/7, Windows 10 laptop users on wi-fi may be asked to log in twice (once for Window, and once for wi-fi) due to Windows security feature called Credential Guard.. This matches the current experience on Windows 11 computers.

9. On Wednesday 5/8, EIS will re-implement high-availability for the LDAP authentication service.

10. On Thursday 5/9, DNS network routing will be updated to reduce latency.
