Highlights
On Monday, 8/30, EIS will drop support for TLS 1.1 and lower protocols on the haproxy. If there are any applications that require the older version, they will stop communicating through the proxy. We will roll back the change if we get any reports of systems breaking that cannot be resolved otherwise.
If the TLS and cipher changes go through without issue, EIS will follow up by redirecting mail.wwu.edu to a new landing page on 8/30. If there are issues with the proxy updates, we will postpone the mail.wwu.edu change until later in the week.
Multiple network software upgrades are scheduled from now through 9/15. All of them are after-hours upgrades, and none of them will have a noticeable user impact except for the ISE upgrade on 9/15. That upgrade will reset user VPN connections and make authentication to the wireless network temporarily unavailable.
The next upgrade to Millennium FAST is slated for late October. The test version of the application will be upgraded in September.
