🤔 Problem

One of the most common ways for hackers to try to steal your credentials or your money is for them to send you emails pretending to be someone you work with, to trick you into giving up your password, giving them money, or downloading a virus.

🌱 Solution

In order to help protect you and Western from these attacks, Office365 will now label emails as “External” if they originate outside of Western’s email system.

The screenshots below will show you what external email tags will look like in the Outlook Desktop Client, Outlook Mobile Client, and Outlook Web App.

In the Outlook Web App, all external email content is blocked by default. You must click the link at the top of the message to unblock links, attachments, and images in the message.
