Banner production upgrade, with a downtime for all services, will begin after business hours 4/21.
Updates to the password requirements for service accounts, vendor accounts, and other non-standard accounts are scheduled for 5/1. The sponsors/contacts for all impacted accounts have been contacted and given a 4/19 deadline to respond and a 5/1 deadline to update the passwords of the accounts they manage.
EIS is working on identifying whether anyone is using the non-mail-enabled AD security groups that are generated nightly based on Banner Employee Type Code (e.g. “grp.Employees.Faculty”). If the groups are no longer being used, they will be purged 4/25 and the underlying process that creates them will be dismantled. Dynamic email distribution groups will not be impacted by this change.
ATUS is working with Bookings calendar owners to delete unused calendars. There are currently 270+ Bookings calendars in production, and many of them appear to be individual user tests.
