Purpose

Audience

Create a New Object in Active Directory

1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers using your -a account:
   Active Directory Guide for CENV

2. Navigate to the Correct OU:
   Active Directory Guide for CENV - Key Locations

3. Create the Computer Object:

   • Right-click on the correct OU and select New > Computer.

4. Fill in the Computer Name using the appropriate naming convention:
   Device Naming Standards - Windows

   • Click OK.

5. Fill in the Description using the following convention:
   (Room Number) – (User) – (Computer Type)
