Data Storage Options
SharePoint
SharePoint is a good place to store your department, program, office, and committee shared files and folders.
- Woodring’s SharePoint site has areas for many of Woodring’s departments, programs, offices, and committees. Please contact WCE Tech Services if you need additional space.
- SharePoint is also available from Office 365.
Groups
A Group is similar to a SharePoint site, but includes an e-mail distribution list that appears in WWU’s global address list. Use a Group to send e-mail to, and share files with, a work group.
- Groups are available from Outlook.

Teams
A Team is similar to a Group, but uses chat instead of group e-mail for communication. Teams are great to rapidly communicate with people you work closely with throughout the day or people across campus that you frequently share information with.
- Teams are available from Office 365.

OneDrive
OneDrive is a great place to store files you create and work on, but rarely share with others. You can share OneDrive files with colleagues when you need to, but use SharePoint, Groups, or Teams to store files you work on frequently with colleagues.
- OneDrive is available from Office 365.
