Data Storage Options

SharePoint

SharePoint is a good place to store your department, program, office, and committee shared files and folders.

Groups

A Group is similar to a SharePoint site, but includes an e-mail distribution list that appears in WWU’s global address list. Use a Group to send e-mail to, and share files with, a work group.

Teams

A Team is similar to a Group, but uses chat instead of group e-mail for communication. Teams are great to rapidly communicate with people you work closely with throughout the day or people across campus that you frequently share information with.

OneDrive

OneDrive is a great place to store files you create and work on, but rarely share with others. You can share OneDrive files with colleagues when you need to, but use SharePoint, Groups, or Teams to store files you work on frequently with colleagues.
