Introduction
The Logitech Rally Camera is installed in the ES 534/ES 524 Conference Room, the main conference room in the ES building for the College of the Environment. This document provides information on the hardware setup, usage, and troubleshooting for the Logitech Rally Camera and associated equipment.
Hardware Overview
360 Camera: Provides 360° video coverage with automatic tracking of the speaker.
Microphone Pods: Two microphone pods placed on the conference table to capture audio, with touch buttons for mute/unmute.
Logitech Rally Speaker: Connected to the TV for audio output.
Display Hub: Mounted on the wall under the monitor.
Table Hub: Located on the conference table.
Logitech Remote: Controls the camera, speaker volume, and mute functions.
Dell Monitor Remote: Controls monitor power.
Setup
Logitech Swytch
Purpose: Connects a laptop to the Dell Monitor, Logitech Rally Camera, Speakers, and Mic Pods.
Instructions:
Driver Installation:
Connection:
Connect the Logitech Swytch, a purple “Y” shaped adapter with both USB A and USB C connectors, to your laptop. It is located on the conference table (see Figure 10).
Important Notice: Ensure the DisplayLink driver is installed before using the Swytch connector.
Microsoft Teams
Setup:
Launch: Open Microsoft Teams using the Desktop shortcut or Start Menu (see Figure 9).
Sign In: Teams will automatically sign in using your WWU Universal Account.
Functionality: Start or join meetings, and chat directly. Teams is pre-configured to use the Logitech Rally Camera, Speakers, and Mic Pod.
Zoom
Setup:
Wake Up: Move the mouse or press a key to wake up the PC and Monitor. If not responsive, press the RED power button on the Dell Monitor Remote (see Figure 7).
Login: Log in to the PC using your WWU Universal Account.
Open Zoom: Use the Desktop shortcut or Start Menu (see Figure 8). Zoom will automatically log in using your credentials.
Functionality: Zoom will be ready to host or join meetings.
Troubleshooting
PC or Monitor Does Not Turn On After Waking Using Keyboard or Mouse
Initial Steps:
If moving the mouse or pressing a key does not wake the PC and Monitor, press the RED power button on the Dell Monitor Remote (see Figure 7).
Check if another user may have turned off the monitor.
Additional Steps:
Verify that the PC is powered on. Look for a white LED light on the PC, located behind the monitor (see Figure 4).
Mic Pod Does Not Pick Up Audio or Meeting Participants Cannot Hear You
Check Mute Status:
Ensure the Mic Pod is not illuminated RED, indicating it is muted.
Tap the top of the Mic Pod’s mute icon to unmute. The Mic Pod should display a WHITE outline when unmuted.
Logitech Swytch Does Not Output Video to Dell Monitor
Driver Installation:
Verify that the “DisplayLink Graphics” driver is installed. Refer to the “Logitech Swytch Setup and Use” section for the download link.
Connection Issues:
Disconnect and reconnect the Swytch Y adapter from your computer.
Try a different USB port on your laptop, as some ports may have different data or power transfer rates.
Restart your laptop to ensure the DisplayLink Driver and device connections are properly recognized.
Logitech Rally Camera, Speakers, or Mic Pod Do Not Appear as Devices on Your Laptop
Basic Troubleshooting:
If video is duplicated from your laptop on the Monitor, the issue may not be with the Logitech Swytch.
Restart your laptop while connected to the Swytch adapter.
Disconnect and reconnect the Swytch adapter.
Try a different USB port for the Swytch adapter.
Logitech Rally Camera Is Aimed Incorrectly
Preset Adjustments:
The default camera preset should be reasonable for most meetings. Adjust the camera as needed for optimal coverage.
