ATUS provides short-term and long-term laptop loans to students at no charge through the Equipment Loan Pool.   Thanks to a Student Technology Fee-funded project, students can enjoy wireless Internet access and e-mail from anywhere within the wireless coverage area, including the Viking Union, Red Square, and Haskell Plaza.

Among the long-term loan laptops, ATUS will set aside one laptop with a fully licensed set of accessibility tools including JAWS, J-Say and Dragon Naturally Speaking by Fall 2018.  This laptop is available only through the ATUS Equipment Loan Pool.

ATUS short-term laptops can be checked out for up to four hours at a time.  Long-term laptop loans are available for a full quarter and can be renewed.

To check out an ATUS laptop, bring your Western Card to one of the following locations:

  • ATUS Equipment Loan Pool (Haggard Hall 114)
  • Student Technology Center (Haggard Hall second floor)

The Viking Union has laptops available for students for up to four hours.  The Wade King Student Recreation Center also has laptops available for use within the Rec Center lobby only.
