How to open myWestern links in new tabs

The new myWestern site opens links in the same browser tab by default. Some people prefer this behavior, while others prefer the links to open in separate tabs so myWestern remains open in its original tab.

Fortunately it is very easy to force any hyperlink to open in a new browser tab. The following tips are not specific to myWestern. They will work for any website:

Force links to open in a new tab

Hold the Ctrl button (or the Command button on a Mac) and click the link to open the page in a new background tab.

or

Hold Ctrl+Shift (Command+Shift on a Mac) and click the link to open the page in a new foreground tab. myWestern will still be open in another tab.

Use the right-click menu

Right-click a link with your mouse and then select the option to open the link in a new tab or window.

Bookmark a frequently used set of links to the same Bookmark/Favorites folder

This will allow you to open all the links at once.

Use a browser extension

There are extensions available for some browsers that will let you manage future behavior of links to specific sites.
