Network Design Consultations and Site Surveys
ITS provides network design consultation and site surveys for departments who need assistance with their network services. Common reasons to request a consultation include:
Moving to a new office, or rearranging a space to serve a new purpose.
Requesting to expand the wired or wireless network service available in a space.
Bringing a new system, service, or technology to campus that requires a network connection to function.
Instructions
To request a consultation, please submit a Help Desk ticket or the “Wireless/Network Consultation” form, with the following information:
A brief summary of your needs.
A more detailed description of what you are hoping to accomplish.
The urgency of the request (Low/Medium/High).
Consultations are provided at no charge. If there are fees or “time and materials” charges for the work being requested, ITS will provide a “Not To Exceed” estimate at your request, prior to performing the work. If Facilities Management work is required, ITS will coordinate with FM on your behalf and FM will charge you for their costs separately. FM may charge you for a preliminary cost estimate of their work.
